Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planner (AICP) with a strong background in multimodal planning, corridor studies, policy development, and regional planning. This role will focus on advancing the performance, sustainability, and equity of transportation systems through integrated planning strategies, data-driven analysis, and collaboration with public agencies and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of multimodal transportation plans, corridor studies, and policy frameworks that align with agency and community goals.

  • Conduct transportation planning analyses, including travel demand modeling, accessibility analysis, and scenario planning.

  • Work closely with state DOTs, MPOs, and local agencies to develop and implement transportation plans and programs.

  • Prepare grant applications and funding strategies to support transportation planning initiatives.

  • Facilitate stakeholder and public engagement processes, including workshops, surveys, and public meetings.

  • Provide planning expertise to integrate transportation with land use, economic development, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • AICP certification preferred or the ability to obtain in 6 months.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transportation planning.

  • Experience with travel demand modeling, GIS analysis, and transportation planning tools.

  • Knowledge of FHWA, FTA, and state planning guidelines and requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports and presenting to public and stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent collaboration and client-facing skills.
